Michael Korzinstone – Cinven

Michael has 13 years’ experience in IT private equity investment, and is currently responsible for Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) sector investing in the Americas for Cinven, a 30+ year veteran PE firm with a particular buy-and-build focus.

Headquartered in London, Cinven has a track record of success in the United States including the successful IPOs of Medpace and Avolon as well as investments into leading software companies like Amadeus and Jaggaer. Michael describes everything from Cinven’s investment considerations to exit philosophies, describing what owner-operators can do to position themselves for a successful transaction — from ensuring a strong culture to having tough conversations with prospective financial partners.

Also, as this is our first COVID-era Executive Perspective, Michael describes how investing priorities, personal networking, and market trends have necessarily shifted — while certain key elements like productivity and firm culture are as strong as ever (just a little more virtual).
